[Pellet-users] converting individuals to class ..

Hi all,
  When writing owl files in protege we can convert individuals to class.  I like to know after creating OntModel from a owl file consisting of  some individuals, is it possible to convert them to classes  programatically? 
  If that is possible I could do instance checking as well as subsumtion, disjointness check?
